Adoption - The adoption fee for our animals is $15.00. If the animals is not spayed or neutered there is also a $50.00 deposit. This $50.00 is refunded to you once the animals is spayed or neutered. It is a STATE LAW that all animals adopted must be spayed or neutered within 30 days of their adoption!! If you live in the Denison, IA city limits then you must also pay for a city license and also a rabies vaccination.
Sophie is a beautiful German Shepherd. She is around 1-1/2 yrs old now. She is very friendly and loves attention. She has a floppy ear but that just gives her character. She knows some basic commands. She just follows me everywhere. She does not act aggressive to the other dogs. She might like to chase cats though. Jazzy is a beautiful dog. We think she is a German Shepherd Mix. She weighs 56 lbs. right now. She is probably 1-2 yrs. old. She is friendly and has plenty of energy. She seems fine with the other dogs around her but I don't know how she would do with cats. She will have to be spayed within 30 days of her adoption and also needs her vaccinations.
Rex is a beautiful male husky that is looking for a loving home. He is around 6 years old. He has not been neutered yet so that will have to be done within 30 days of his adoption. He will also need his vaccinations. He does not act aggressive to the dogs at the pound.
Koda is Husky that is around 2 years old. He is happy and friendly and weighs 65 lbs. Needs a good home. Needs his vaccinations and must be neutered within 30 days of his adoption.
Moose is a big friendly guy but he does have anxiety problems. He needs to be with someone that he can always be with. When he has his people with him he is all relaxed and a couch potato. When he is left alone his anxiety takes over and he becomes an escape artist. He is great with children and other dogs. I don't know about cats. Moose is already neutered and current on his vaccinations.
Arnie is a big friendly Lab mix that is a happy go lucky guy! He weighs 89 pounds and loves to be petted. He would do great in he country where he would have plenty of room to run around. He has not been neutered yet so that will have to be done within 30 days of his adoption. He will also need his vaccinations.
Cattie is a 4 year old Pitbull. She seems happy to meet women but does not seem to care for most men that come to her kennel. She will bark and run outside. She will settle down once they give her some treats and she knows that they are ok. Other than that, she seems like a very nice girl. Happy to get attention and treats. She has not been spayed yet so that will have to be done within 30 days
Lucy is a young mix breed. I am guessing that she is around 7-8 months old. She weighs 33 lbs. right now. She came in with her sister Ginger. They are very sweet and love attention. She is the perfect age to start training. Lucy has a doggie door and has always gone to her outside run to go potty. She has not been spayed yet so that will have to be done within 30 days of her adoption.
Ginger is a mix breed pup that is around 7- 8 months old. She is getting very friendly and weighs around 25 lbs. She came in with her sister and her picture will be up soon. She is black. Spike is probably around 3 years old. He is not overly affectionate because he is a working dog and thinks he should have a job. He listens to me and tries to please.
